Only the perfect Sangiovese grapes from the Podere are destined for Brunello di Montalcino. The long maturation (two and a half years) takes place in small 700-liter French woods, followed by 18 months of aging in the bottle, an essential period to give Giodo Brunello di Montalcino elegance, balance and depth. On the palate it presents great class, it is a complex, deep, intriguing, intense wine without opulence, soft and of extraordinary persistence. Aging and maturation: About 30 months in 500 and 700 l tonneaux, followed by passage in concrete and 18 months in bottle. Alcohol content 14% vol. Pairings: Excellent pairing with first courses with meat sauce, game, grilled or stewed red meat and aged cheeses. Excellent scores for this Brunello: James Suckling 100/100pts, Robert Parker 98/100pts, xtraWine 99/100pts.
