Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso is a blend of noble Bordeaux varieties—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc—that expresses the unique identity of the Bolgheri terroir. Produced by one of Tuscany's leading wineries, founded in the 1980s and now run with dedication by the family, this wine is made from organically farmed vineyards ranging in age from 5 to 25 years. The vinification respects the integrity of the fruit: fermentation and maceration last 15 days in stainless steel, followed by 10 months of aging in second-, third-, and fourth-use oak barrels, with a small percentage in concrete. The result is a wine that combines classic Bordeaux structure with the expressive character and complexity that only the Bolgheri terroir can bestow.
