Brunello di Montalcino di San Filippo took position n. 3 for Le Lucére 2015 on the podium of the “Top 100 Wines of 2020” by “Wine Spectator”B. It is a product - added the producer Roberto - that amazes for an average quality perhaps unprecedented, but which will have to share the scene with 2016, a vintage considered extraordinary even before being put on the market. The color is ruby red with reflections that touch garnet. The nose is intense, fine and elegant, with notes of cherries in alcohol enriched with spices reminiscent of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate it explodes all its finesse and elegance thanks to dense and silky tannins. Excellent structure that makes the taste harmonious and persistent. excellent correspondence between nose and mouth. Thick, fruity but complex Brunello. Fermentation: The grapes ferment in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, and then mature for 24 months in barrels and barriques and, once bottled, in glass for a further 8 months. Pairings: Ideal as a companion to structured dishes such as red meats, game meat and aged cheeses. Also excellent as a meditation wine. Alcohol content 14.5%. Excellent score also from James Suckling 98/100pts.
