Our Wine Shop Tesori dell'Umbria is located in Assisi in Umbria, in the heart of central Italy. Assisi, the birthplace of San Francesco and the City of Peace, is the place where the Alimenti family has preserved the values of our land and Made in Italy for generations.

We are in front of the Basilica of San Francesco in Via Frate Elia 1, Assisi.

Knocked it out of the park

“I was offered a wine tasting earlier in the day but returned with my wife after dinner. The staff was very helpful and explained all of the wine were sampling, covered the olive oil, and sandwiches as well. The balsamic are wonderful to sample. Now I know some people have complained about pricing. But this is you get what you pay for. If you want to try great wine or sample the differences in oil or balsamic, then this is the place to go. If you have wondered what makes a Tuscan Super red worth $100, here is your chance to find out. The experience was well worth it. And yes, we bought a case of wine and other products. Best part, we came in as strangers and left as friends after taking photos in front of the basilica. Great experience.”

Excellent experience

“After walking "down hill" thru the medieval city of Assisi, we ended our sightseeing at the Basilica di San Francesco. We were hungry and thirsty and Tesori dell'Umbria provided a perfect place to refresh ourselves. The shop is located just outside the gate entered on the down the hill side of the basilica's courtyard. The staff was friendly and entertaining, providing interesting info about the food and wine. The panini's and cheese platter were delicious and we enjoyed sampling several wines with our lunch. The combination restaurant/shop offers a variety of local delicacies, some of which we brought home to share with friends. We found Assisi to be beautiful and Tesori dell'Umbria added to our experience.”

It was a perfect stop for a day of walking

“Our Tour guide David recommended this place since our wonderful sandwiches were made from their other store on the other side of Assisi. Maria was wonderful ! Cheese & wine were excellent. Ordered a case to be shipped home! Our group loved it.”
