Always called the "king of wines and the wine of kings", Barolo is an iconic red from the Langhe, loved throughout the world for its elegance and long aging potential.
This Barolo is a traditional Piedmontese wine of great elegance; it is produced in the municipalities of La Morra, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto. The vinification of Nebbiolo grapes is carried out in thermo-conditioned concrete or steel tanks with fermentation on the skins for 25 – 30 days. After racking, the various batches are assembled and subsequently aged in large-capacity Slavonian oak barrels (5,000 litres) for approximately 3 years. With refinement in the bottle the wine continues to evolve in elegance and harmony with the prospect of long aging.
This wine appears ruby red in the glass with reflections tending towards garnet; on the nose it expresses broad spicy, floral and fruity scents, with inviting balsamic nuances. The sip is austere and direct, savory and well balanced.
